Who are you anyway?

I’m a copywriter, author, coach, mentor and advisor for all things beauty related.  I have extensive experience in the beauty industry, which is what allows me to write knowledgeably and enthusiastically about your business and services.

What does a copywriter actually do?

Copywriting generally means writing words for a promotional or marketing purpose.

As a copywriter specifically for the beauty biz, I help salon and spa owners or industry suppliers by writing things such as service menus, web copy, client letters/emails, articles for newsletters and blogs, service descriptions, product description, promotional packages, or anything else that requires words for marketing purposes.

Effective copywriting  ensures your business becomes more profitable because clients and readers fully understand what the benefits of your services and products are, and then take action on that information.

What is your copywriting experience?

Copywriting came to me a little later in my career.  After I wrote and published my business coaching book 3 1/2 Secrets to Salon Success, I realised that I could not only write effectively but also help salon and spa owners to create great marketing content for their businesses also.

I’ve been creating copy for my clients for over 5 years and loving every minute of it!

Will I need to pay a deposit?

Yes.  In most cases, I ask for a 50% deposit prior to beginning the work, and the final payment is requested before I send you the first draft.

For some larger jobs, I also offer very reasonable payment plans to help you balance your budget. Just talk to me about your particular needs.

Do we need to meet in person?

Generally, all the information I require can be accessed simply and easily via email or over the phone/Skype.

This keeps the job more time efficient and my prices down.

Who owns the copy and what can I do with it?

Once the final payment is made and the job is signed off by you, you have full rights to the copy.  This means you can use it whenever and where ever you want.

You can also alter it to suit your business needs as you require.

It’s all yours baby!

Can your write for me if I live outside Australia?

That’s not a problem at all.

As long as you require the copy in English, I can write it for you.

I also write in American, Canadian, UK, Sth African, New Zealand and even Tasmanian (just kidding Taswegians :-))

How long will it take?

The length of time to complete your copy depends on a couple of things.

  1. How much copy is required.  Naturally large or complex jobs take a little longer to complete.
  2. How much work I already have booked in.  If I’m super busy, I will always tell you so you can decide if you want to wait for me.
  3. How soon you send me your information and reply to my emails.  I promise to reply to your emails within 24 hours or less, so if you can do the same, we should whizz through the work and you’ll have your copy promptly.

Talk to me about what you need and I can give you a pretty solid time-frame that you can work with.

Will I need to have an editor or proof reader also?

No.  I’ll do all that for you – it’s included in the quote.
